A valentine.
The original illustration was made very quickly as part of an exercise for a college studio course. The reception on social media, especially Tumblr, has been surprising to say the least, and has been a regular reminder to me, even when I am far away from my community, that I am not alone. When a client commissioned a tattoo design with two gay kings based off of it, I decided to create a new version of the original illustration to match, using better materials and steadier hands than the 2018 version was afforded.

A scene from Hamlet, reinterpreted for an illustration class at the Maine College of Art. Originally drawn in Photoshop, then turned into a risograph print. I am fascinated by the textural transformation created in the process.
